Orders & Payment
Cakes and sweet treats, including Custom Orders, require a 50% advance payment. The remaining 50% is due at pickup, before the product is handed to the customer or their courier.
All other products, including cake toppers, edible prints, 3D figurines and sugar flowers, require 100% payment in advance.
Payment is by Interac e-Transfer only; card payments are not offered. The required initial payment is normally due within 12 hours. Orders remain On hold until that payment is received. An unpaid reservation may lapse after this period, subject to applicable law.
Lead times are counted in calendar days, with a midnight cutoff (00:00), Montreal time. Orders received through 11:59 p.m. count for that date; at midnight, a new order day begins. For mixed orders, the longest product lead time applies. Pickup is closed on Sundays, with a maximum of 10 orders per available day.
Maria Daniela Pastries is not currently registered to collect GST/QST, so no sales tax is charged at this time. If tax registration becomes required, applicable taxes will be added at checkout.
These payment and cancellation arrangements apply only to the extent permitted by mandatory consumer-protection rules. Our procedures do not limit legal warranties or other rights that cannot legally be waived.
Cancellations — Standard Products
Standard products may be cancelled for a full refund when cancellation is requested at least 3 days before the scheduled pickup or delivery date.
Cancellations made less than 3 days before the scheduled date are non-refundable.
Edible Print orders may be cancelled only before file preparation or printing has begun. Once preparation or printing has started, Edible Print orders are non-refundable.
Cancellations — Custom Orders
Custom Orders may be cancelled for a full refund of the deposit when cancellation is requested at least 5 days before the scheduled pickup or delivery date.
Cancellations made less than 5 days before the scheduled date are non-refundable.
Changes to Custom Orders
Changes to the theme, design, colours, or other major details of a Custom Order must be requested at least 5 days before the scheduled date.
Changes are subject to approval and may result in additional charges depending on the scope of the request.

Traditional Cakes — 3 days
Signature Cakes — 3 days
Sweet Treats — 3 days
Edible Prints — 1 day
Cake Toppers — 3 days
3D Figurines — 5 days
Sugar Flowers — 5 days
Custom Orders — 5 days
Lead times are minimums and do not guarantee availability.
Pickup
Order Pickup is available at 9280 Rue Riverin, App. 14, Brossard, QC J4X 3A4.
Customers are responsible for collecting their order at the selected date and time. Please arrive during your selected pickup window and contact us in advance if a change is needed.
Delivery
Delivery through Uber or another courier must be arranged and paid directly by the customer. Maria Daniela Pastries does not book or collect payment for the courier.
Delivery must be coordinated in advance and cannot be guaranteed when requested on the day of delivery.
Once an order has been handed to a third-party delivery service, delays or handling issues caused during transportation are outside MDP’s direct control.
Unclaimed Orders
Orders will be held for up to 2 days after the agreed pickup date.
After this period, the order may be discarded and no refund will be issued.
Custom Designs
Reference images are used as inspiration and do not guarantee an exact reproduction.
All products are handmade, so slight variations in colour, proportions, texture, placement, and decorative details are normal.
MDP reserves the right to approve or decline designs before confirming an order.
Edible Prints
Edible Print orders are printed on letter-size sugar paper only.
Files must be submitted in final, ready-to-print format.
Graphic design, image editing, resizing, layout preparation, and file correction are not included.
Files are printed as submitted. If an obvious issue is identified before printing, the customer will be contacted for approval before production continues.
Allergies
MDP cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
Products may be prepared in an environment where dairy, eggs, gluten, nuts, and other common allergens are handled.
Photography & Portfolio
MDP may photograph completed products and use those photographs on its website, social media, portfolio, advertising, or other promotional materials.
When a product displays a customer’s name, age, personal message, photograph, or other identifying information, MDP will crop, blur, cover, or otherwise remove that information before publishing, unless the customer has given permission. Other personal customer information will not be published without permission.
